We are "LAVIKA Shelties" located in Kelly Bray near Callington, Cornwall, England.
2008 SUMMARY
The year 2008 was very memorable to us and brought lots of joy, happiness and good times as well as a little sadness.
The most memorable event of the Year was
CRUFTS 2008
where our "Timey" enjoyed great success and won not just 1st in Class but
BEST PUPPY in Breed and RESERVE CC!
Many thanks to the judge on the day Diane Moor and of course to Joyce Miles for
letting me
have such a little star!
Since Crufts "Timey" won 4xBEST PUPPY at Champ Shows, one
more Reserve CC and her first important CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE which was awarded
to her by Derek Rigby (Thank You very much, Derek!).
In 2008 we had a few new arrivals in our
family.
Two beautiful little girls joined our Sheltie team, the daughters of "crowned"
Champions which we are proud of
and hoping to build a strong foundations for the
future with:
"Ivy" from kennel Milesend and "Sophie" from kennel Lythwood.
A very big thank you to Joyce, Derek and Phyllis for our lovely girls!

Three gorgeous tricolor pups were born out of our "Angie" by lovely Champion dog Ch
Milesend Nightforce.
We wish all their owners lots of luck and joy for
the future!

Vince`s took in another girl to join his current Boxer team.
She is called
"Chilli", she's 2 a 2 year old solid red girl and we hoping for some
nice puppies out of her litter in 2009.
Not forgetting of course the very special new arrival
of our "skin puppy" Baby Sasha!
Sasha was born on 10th of July (a future
junior Boxer handler).
So now there are four dog crazy people making up
our small family together with his big sister Katya
(future junior Sheltie
handler) who is now 2
years old.
Ivy and Sophie have already been shown a
few times with quite good wins.
At 7 months old Ivy went 2nd in Minor Puppy
Class at Paignton Champ Show,
after that she won Reserve BOB as well as Best
Puppy in Breed and Best Puppy in Group at the First Devon`s Premier Show.
At her first Show Sophie won her Class and later added further to her wins
by going 4th in Class
at English SS Club
and 1st in Class at Mid Western SS Club Champ Shows.
So both
of girls are CRUFTS 2009 qualifiers.

Breeze at Lavika
Continuing with 2008 show results I would like to
mention that our "Breeze" was also shown twice
with 4th place at WELKS Champ
Show and 2nd place at English SS Club Open Show.
Not forgetting our "Tara" who is
already an Irish Champion, at the PDCA Club's Super Match this year
she was demonstrating
her perfect show skills and went Reserve BEST IN SHOW among all breeds.
I would like to make a memory tribute to
Vince`s best friend,
the very special boxer dog "Goose" who is
suddenly passed away in the
beginning of the year
at the age of just 6 years old. He will be sadly missed.
